Lewis-Clark State College women’s basketball senior Tanis Fuller was named the Frontier Conference Player of the Week, league officials announced Monday.
The Lewiston, Idaho, native and three-year starter at LC State scored a career-high 30 points to help the Warriors snap a three-game skid and defeat Montana Tech 67-58 on Saturday night at the Activity Center.
Fuller scored 14 of the Warriors' first 15 points to start the second half, helping LCSC take control of the game after trailing by six at halftime.
On the night, the 5-foot-10 forward was 12-of-19 from the field and 6-of-7 at the foul line, and tallied seven rebounds, two assists, and two steals.
She is leading the team with 17 points per game, which ranks 22nd in the nation, and holds the 17th best shooting percentage in the NAIA at .504.
It is the third time Fuller has won the award this season as she’s led LCSC to record of 19-7 overall and 5-5 in Frontier Conference play.
Looking to end the regular season on a high note, the No. 24 Warriors have just four regular season games remaining including two in Montana this week. They’ll face Rocky Mountain on Thursday and No. 18 Carroll College on Saturday. Live coverage of both games is available on 950AM-KOZE or online at www.koze-sports.comhttp://www.koze-sports.com/.
